In a world of disposable led convenience Caroline and Kelly, as cofounders of Solmates, decided to tackle the problem in a unique and compelling way to try to overcome the constrains and restrictions for a product like sunscreen. We explore how regulation actually drives what options can be used for the packaging that apply to one product (sunscreen) vs another (skincare) and how these somewhat arbitrary constraints required entrepreneurial thinking to circumvent. 

We learn how Kelly’s toddler’s airport meltdown led to a sketch which a design agency used to create a first working product which then led to joining forces with Caroline to work out how to sell and market it.
